The dollar saw a slight increase, primarily impacting the Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, and Japanese yen among its trade-weighted basket of six currencies. Analysts anticipate the dollar could remain buoyant if the U.S. March CPI reflects continued inflation pressure. Meanwhile, a robust job market and limited inflation progress have led to calls for patience among U.S. officials, including Fed Chair Jerome Powell, regarding rate cuts.
